RURAL ACTION IN SOCIAL EMANCIPATION

OVERVIEW
WHY RURAL
Rural Action in Social Emancipation (RAISE) started in the year 2000 under the provisions of Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. The organization was formed with the co-operation of dedicated social workers and enthusiastic service minded group with a view to help the helpless rural poor community through various developmental activities. The birth of "RAISE" is a response indeed an emotional response to the problems of illiteracy, ignorance, ill health, malnutrition, unemployment and inadequate medical and educational facilities that were widely prevalent in Cuddapah, Nellore, Kurnool and Guntur Districts of Andhra Pradesh, India. We also mainly focus to make the people understand about Nature , Environment and its protection. Hence, the Organization formed with no profit motive and dedicated to solve the identified problems.
India lives in its villages, and while the cities have grown immensely over the last 20 years, rural areas have not seen that kind of development. For India’s economy to be strong, the rural economy needs to grow. Rural areas are still plagued by problems of malnourishment, illiteracy, unemployment and lack of basic infrastructure like schools, colleges, hospitals, sanitation, etc. This has led to youth moving out of villages to work in cities. Our villages need to grow in tandem with cities and standard of life has to improve there for inclusive growth to happen. If rural India is poor, India is poor.
